More about the Project
Site-Specific Project, carried out in Berlin.
This project is comprised of fourteen artists, eight of them Chilean studying German up to level A2, and six of them Germans who study Spanish up to the same level. Artists with renowned experience in arts, come together so that language learning arises through a collective creation. The focus is on the investigation of an abandoned space in the city of Berlin, creating a multidisciplinary performative installation, rescuing the impulse and memory of these spaces to make them temporarily autonomous.
“Bridges connecting dissimilar universes are true scales that feed and create imaginary maps as allegorical exercises with and for reality. A true psychopathology that rethinks how to extend societies beyond their structural aspects, because the linearity of their edges does not conceive of new ideas or new ways of thinking.
We return then to the thought of “Nomad, collector” as if there were a collective atavistic memory between psychic travelers moved and fueled by curiosity and desire.
Drittes Territorium Project pretends to ensemble two types of cultural memories, which correspond to two geographically distant countries, with different language, Germany and Chile. The goal is to put across and connect through an artistic and idiomatic interaction bridge, in order to bring close, memory and contingency from both countries”.
